Long associated with the values and standards the Ballad Workshop members hold, Sylvia was invited to perform, with no special remit or constraint on what was expected of her.
With disarming ease and charm, Sylvia sat on a chair and started going through her musical history and background, illustrating and singing as she went. Singing, it must be said, a very rich vein of material, to which everyone responded with great enthusiasm.
Not only that, she then “took charge”, and invited singers from the floor to sing songs of their own choice. Anne & Ronnie out of a job!
